Africa the country; the ubiquitous, monolithic realm of color, rhythm and spicy sauces that seems to unite us as Africans across geographical boundaries. This Africa is sliding its way into international news and not all of it is negative. Our music is bouncing its way onto worldwide radio waves (shout out to Naija!).

This is New Africa or #Tina as was promoted in Ghana at the start of 2019 by the Ghanaian-UK artist FUSE ODG. New Africa is robust with expectations of prosperity, style and goodness. Our calabashes runneth over with pride. We expect choice and change set to a dope afrobeat. We expect corruption to be kept to a manageable minimum or at least cloaked in acceptable euphemisms, i.e. instead of "bribe" we prefer the more innocuous "commission".

We expect our natural beauty to be recognized, appreciated and valued. We valorize and purchase our own indigenous products, before they are exported to America or Europe to be transformed and sold back to us. Hence Africa Goodnest, is an ambitious online celebration of natural goods. We are celebrating entrepreneurship in the wellness industry and what it looks like on the African continent.
